By the time Barcrest got around to designing their Chances Unlimited fruit machine, they had several new innovations that they chose to include in the design of the machine, which was another one that was launched back in the 1980’s.
It was that decade that many players remember with fond memories, and there were plenty of fruit machines that were launched way back then that can still be found in avid slot players private collections, many of which are worth a small fortune now.
One new innovation that Barcrest added to their Chances Unlimited Fruit machine was an alphanumeric display, on which good luck messages could be flashed up to players and display credits and winnings, also error codes when the machine went into alarm mode would also be displayed on that alphanumeric display unit too.
Many of the previously launched fruit machines from Barcrest were vulnerable to attack from scamster strimming their old styled S1 coin mechs, and as such the Chances Unlimited had the much more modern, at the time, S10 coin mechs that offered operators a tad more security.
Players could exchange winning pay-outs for nudges and also exchange winning pay-outs for the Super Series feature, on which players would be awarded up to five Super Series spins, each of which would be winning ones.
The Chances Unlimited fruit machine had the usual Auto Hold feature, and also boasted the G.A.I.N. feature which simply meant guarantee against imperfect nudge.
As such if a player nudged in a winning combinations when awarded the nudge feature and there was a higher paying winning combination that they could have nudged in, the machine would reset the reels and nudge in automatically that higher valued winning combination instead if the lower valued one the player had nudged in, which meant players no longer had to learn the reel strip layout of each reel on such machines.
