Slot players living in or visiting Pennsylvania can now legally play their favourite slot machines online, as the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board have given the greenlight to online gaming, and players do appear to be warming to the idea of playing slot games from home.
One Monday of this week both the Hollywood Casino and the Park Casino switched on their gaming servers for eight hours to soft launch their online gaming offerings to players, and on Wednesday the Sugar House Casino did the same.
To be honest though, many gamblers have been playing at online casinos in Pennsylvania and all over the U.S for many years now, but up until the legalization of online gaming in several U.S States those players have had to rely on the games and services of online casinos based offshore.
That did of course put those players at all kinds of risks, and over the years many players have been ripped off and short-changed by such casinos, who have been able to run their casinos without any U.S. regulation, but at least now players in Pennsylvania do have the added protection of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board when playing at any online casinos they license and regulate.
Whilst many gamblers will like the fact that they can now play from the comfort of their own homes either for free or for real money, there have always been and always will be some people and organizations that are against online gambling in general.
However, with very strict rules in place regarding the operation of Pennsylvania licensed casinos, including but not limited to some very robust responsible gambling rules, gamblers will be able to gamble within their means and have access to support services, if they feel their gambling activities are getting out of hand, something offshore based casinos rarely if ever offer their customers.
